Itinerary

Day 01

Lhasa Arrival: (3650m) Once you land in Lhasa airport or Train station. our company representative will pick up and transfer to hotel. Evening briefing about trip with guide.

Full day Lhasa sightseeing (3650m): morning our guide will come to hotel and start sightseeing, visit Potala Place, Jhokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. Evening free.

Full day Lhasa sightseeing (3600m) Full day sightseeing of Lhasa, visit Norbulingka palace (The summer place of HH 14 Dalai lama) and Drepung Monastery, this monastery is second largest monastery in lhasa, this monastery follows Gelug sect. Evening free.

Lhasa-Tsedang (3670m) morning after breakfast we depart to Tsedang valley. We visit Yumbhlakhag Palace, this palace was built by first king of Tibet. King Nyatri Tsenpo, palace is located on the hill and from the palace you can see all valley of Tsedang. After Tsedang valley we visit Samye Monastery, which was built in 8th century by Guru Rinpoche. This monastery was first Buddhist monastery in Tibet. He a founder from Nyingma Sect. Overnight Tsedang

Tsedang-Shigatse (3840m): today we start our journey from Tsedang to Shigatse, on the way we cross some pass like Kampa-la pass (4797 and Kora-la pass (5050m) once you reach Kora-la pass then you can see the very wonderful Mt. Nojin Kangsang (7206m) glacier. Also, on the way we going to see very wonderful lake Yamdork Yumtso (yamdork Lake). Then we stop Gyantse town, here we visit Kumbum Stupa inside Pelkor Chode monastery. We continue drive to Shigatse town. Overnight Shegatse.

 

higaste-Lhasa (3650m) today we really enjoy our holiday with nature. First, we visit Tashilunpo monastery. This monastery was built in 15th century by first Dalai Lama. Nowadays seat of Panchen lama. We drive back to Lhasa. Overnight Lhasa.

Morning drive to airport or train station for final departure.

Tips for supporting guide and driver

Warm Tips

1.Travelers with severe high blood pressure or heart disease should not go to Tibet. Please do not bring serious colds into Tibet. Don’t go before the serious colds recovered!

2.Tibet is located in the plateau and most of the travelers might have plateau reaction. Please pay attention to rest and have proper diet (do not eat too full, because it will increase the burden of the stomach). Travelers can be appropriate to take some drugs, such as: Gaoyuan An, Rhodiola, Nuodi Kang; travelers with serious can appropriately take oxygen or hanging saline.

3.Because of the long drive in Tibet, travelers will spend a lot of time in the car, and inevitably can not eat on time, please bring some snacks and biscuits during drive.

4.Due to the special conditions in Tibet, please pay attention to keep warm. On the first day of arrival, please do not try to take a bath. Taking a bath will accelerate blood circulation and increase the body’s demand for oxygen.

5.Tibet has a strong sunshine, especially dry climate, sunscreen, sunglasses, lip balm and other essential are necessary.

6.From April to November is the best time for sightseeing.
